I just left the restroom where I saw someone standing at the urinal with both hands on his Blackberry (no this isn’t a euphemism.)
I said to the man, “That could be dangerous.”
His response, “That’s why they give us these things, so we’re always working.”
“Well you have to draw the line somewhere,” I said. He stepped back, pulled his zipper up, washed his hands, and left. I should have made a joke about incorrectly drawing lines elsewhere since he had both hand on his BB… eh, never mind.
Seriously? You couldn’t wait 60 seconds until you were finished?
I’ll admit to browsing my BB or iPhone while on the can. Admit it… most of you have done something similar – even if you’re choice is a newspaper or magazine, but would you read a book or magazine at the urinal?
In this case, I’m glad this office installed little partition walls between the urinals.
Notice that the “STRONG” indicator is lit on my coffee maker? I know it is going to be one of those days. I looked at the Blackberry this morning to glance at my schedule, and I have non-stop conference calls from 8am until noon. Quick break for lunch, then more calls until 3pm. This isn’t a typical day for me at all.
Some good news… I’ve been working on a podcast called Moms Gone Geek. I’m certainly not a mom, but I cover the geek part. I started helping out with the show from a technical standpoint. I thought I was just going to help with the product of the podcast, but the current moms would have none of that. I don’t want to call myself a co-host, but I suppose I am. I must admit that I’m not 100% proud of what we’ve done so far, but I see the potential. I can already hear the difference in production quality between the early episodes that we recorded and what we’re doing now. My workflow for this podcast is set, and that was a big hurdle to get over. Head on over to the site and listen to Episode 005 to get a background of our re-launch.
It is a cold, windy, and rainy morning. This does nothing to motivate me. At least it isn’t snow. As I sit in my office, I hear the sound of the rain on the roof. It puts me to sleep, so I have to have some other noise to distract me so I can get some real work done. Today has that Monday feel to it.

Now look what I’ve done. I’ve blown up my blog. I’ll be poking around with Wordpress settings over the coming weeks until I feel I have something I like. If you have any suggestions for themes or must have plug-ins, please feel free to comment.
My goal is to use this site for quick posts that are too long for Twitter, post a few photos, and eventually create a personal podcast.
